The Asian School and Ann Mary School Triumph in the 22nd Asian Challenge English Debate – 2024

Dehradun, April 30, 2024 – In a display of unparalleled rhetoric and intellectual prowess, Ann Mary School and
The Asian School, Dehradun, triumphed as the distinguished victors of the esteemed 22nd Asian Challenge English Debate, held at the beautiful White House Court. Surpassing a formidable lineup of 13 competing institutions, Ann Mary School, Dehradun, seized the coveted Rolling Trophy along with a substantial cash prize of Rs. 15,000/-. As per the tradition The Asian School never competes for the trophy therefore the rolling trophy and the cash prize were awarded to Ann Mary School, Dehradun.

Furthermore, the remarkable St.Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun, secured the position of first runners-up, earning
a commendable cash award of Rs. 5,000/-.

The ceremonial inauguration, symbolized by the lighting of the lamp, was gracefully performed by The
Principal of The Asian School and the esteemed panel of judges, infusing the occasion with auspiciousness and reverence.

Speaking on the occasion The Judges Mr. Lalit Mohan Sharma (Educator), Ms. Manju Sharma (Educator) and
Ms. Rubina Siddqui (Educator) congratulated the winners and said that the topic was quite exciting and was
eloquently dealt with by the students. They spoke in high volumes about the level of awareness, on the issue
showcased, by the young participants.

Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Datta, The Principal, adorned the winners with their well-deserved prizes, in the presence
of distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Gaganjyot Juneja, Mrs.Vartika Sah Juneja, Director The Asian School,
Mr. Mukesh Nangia, Head Senior School, Ms. Prachi Mehrotra, Headmistress, esteemed faculty members,
esteemed guests, and the spirited student body.

The event culminated with a gracious vote of thanks, delivered by the Head Girl, Samriddhi Kotiyal, expressing
heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders for their invaluable contributions towards making the 22nd Asian
