To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at The Asian School on the 7th of September, 2023 with mirth and joy.
The members of the School Management Team and the Principal Ms. Ruchi Pradhan Datta, graced the occasion with their presence. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between the children and the Almighty, the school took the opportunity to both jubilate with and enrich the learning of the young minds. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educational.
An orchestra performance titled ‘Taal Tarang’ was performed by the budding artists of The Asian School. It completely enthralled the audience. Devotional songs were sung in praise of Lord Krishna and a beautiful classical dance was presented by the girls which showcased the interesting life incidents of Lord Krishna, which was indeed captivating.
Speeches were given by the students of class XII which emphasized living a morally upright, compassionate, and devoted life.
While the Spiritual importance was not lost, the day signified a lot more – it signified excitement, euphoria, and a joyous spirit of enthusiasm. Finally, the Principal addressed the gathering. Her words truly summed up the efficacy of celebrating festivals of devotion.The programme came to an end with the distribution of Prasad.
