75th REPUBLIC DAY
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at The Asian School.The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the flag by the Principal, Mrs.Ruchi Pradhan Datta.It was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland.The mellifluous school choir set the tunes for the morning on the beats of Jai, Jai, Bharat Mata.
Speeches were delivered both in Hindi and English by Anwesha Mamgain of class IX and Atharv Saini of class XI.Listening to the speeches, triggered in children and teachers alike, many emotions; pride, love and respect for the country.
The Principal in her address appraised the gathering about the making of the Indian constitution, its unique features and the fact that all the students know about it.She also briefed about the significance of the tricolour and the wheel of duty.
The function ended with the distribution of sweets among the staff and students.
