The Asian School radiated warmth and tradition during the annual Deepotsav ceremony held during the weekend. This cherished event symbolizes truth, wisdom, strength and righteousness, marking both a heartfelt farewell to the graduating Class XII students’ and the beginning of new journey.
Amidst the glow of earthen lamps adorning the White House Court, students preparing for the CBSE Board Exams were blessed with Kalavas and Tilak, symbolizing good fortune. The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Datta, Chief Guest Mr. Kuldeep Gairola Chief Education Officer, and other school dignitaries, accompanied by a soulful Vandana by the school choir.
The Chief Guest in his address commended the cherished tradition of Deepotsav. He also inspired the students to maintain unwavering self- belief, urging them never to feel disheartened. He encouraged them to recognize and work on both their strengths and weaknesses, reinforcing the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges. The Principal Mrs. Ruchi Pradhan Datta in her speech encouraged students to face challenges with courage, confidence, and discipline, sharing valuable tips for exam preparation. The symbolic exchange of
lamps from outgoing Prefects to their successors highlighted the passing of responsibility, while emotional speeches from students’ reflected gratitude and cherished memories. The function was attended by Mr. Mukesh Nangia, Head Senior School, Ms. Prachi Mehrotra, Headmistress, Ms. Surbhi Narula, Dy. Headmistress and the dedicated faculty, the ceremony concluded with an air of nostalgia and hope, celebrating the spirit of resilience and excellence that defines The Asian School.
